F4U Corsair, Luftwaffe

In the FAA's HMS formidable colours

During the Fleet Air Arm attacks against the battleship DKM Tirpitz in Norway, several Corsairs were lost, shot down and apparently one more or less intact, although the story of this one is unreliable, on the Internet there is only one narration, which is identical , which makes her suspicious, according to her, an almost intact plane landed in Norway and was captured, the device came from the carrier HMS Formidable

But the story is somewhat dubious, because there is not a single photo of him, Rechlin's planes are more or less documented and there are photos of them, but there are none of a Corsair, which could mean that all information about him was lost , or that it never reached Rechlin after all in 1944 there were few ships that managed to make the Norway-Germany route, or that it did not exist.

This is my interpretation of such a Corsair, with the colors of the FAA and the code of the aircraft carrier 7E, copying a photo of another device of that aircraft carrier, with the obliterated insignia, with RLM 73 and with Luftwaffe crosses.

The model is Airfix, the painting El Viejo Marino, all the brush decoration.
