Fiat G.50 Freccia, RAF

The Fiat G.50Bis Freccia, was one of the main Italian fighters at the beginning of the War in the Mediterranean, although it was somewhat obsolete, it was due to having a wrong design conceptualization, based more on the proven, than on the most recent concepts. At the beginning, it was a metal monoplane with a closed cabin, but it was modified to fit the habits of the Italian pilots.

When the Italian Desert Offensive, at the beginning of the war, failed, the British counterattacked, defeating them at Bede Fomm, among the enormous material captured, there were many Italian fighters, many of them intact, captured in such a rapid advance, that the Italian pilots learned of the British presence when they woke them up with a rifle pointed at them.

British badges were painted on them and they were destined for hacks and trainers, as far as I know, none were sent to Great Britain for evaluation, their fate is unknown.
